What
is a Cochlear Implant ?
Cochlear Implant is a device which provides useful
hearing sansations and improved communication ability
for people who have a severe to profound sensori-neural
hearing loss in both ears. Cochlear Implants provide
a proven medical option for individuals who receive
little or no benefit from hearing aids.
Who
can benefit ?
Adults and children who meet
the following criteria :
Children
- Severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss in
both ears.
- Between 12 months and 17 years of age.
- Receive little or no useful benefit from hearing
aids.
- No Medical contraindications. High motivation and
appropriate expectations
